INTRODUCTION

 Puerto Rico Deaf Ministries provides services to families with Deaf children. Regular visits are made to homes of families with Deaf preschoolers, and classes in sign language are available for family members. Deaf children will attend a preschool class with a certified teacher of the Deaf. Sign language and Spanish are the languages of instruction at the school. The school will serve Deaf children on the western part of the island. Plans are in place to add one grade each year to the school.

Puerto Rico Deaf Ministries, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation that has been registered with the Puerto Rico State Department, and all donations are tax deductible.

Mission Statement:

To provide learning environments in which Deaf and hearing impaired students will receive an education of academic and/or vocational excellence, through which said students may fully develop spiritually, emotionally, mentally, socially, morally, and physically, thereby empowering them to become productive citizens who will be assets to the Puerto Rican community
